Tampa Bay Rays Vs. Texas Rangers
In this match-up Texas is the odds on favorite. I however, am picking the Rays. Why? For their pitching and pure resilience. They had no shot at the postseason at the beginning of the month of September. Yet, here they are. I think they take full advantage and knock off the Rangers in an upset series win.
Detroit Tigers Vs. New York Yankees
This is an interesting series. Both teams have an ace. Both teams have a powerful offense. Both teams have a closer that can shut the door. Keys to this series? The Suspect Tigers defense and the Yankees bullpen if the starter can't get through 6 innings. Whoever beats the others ace in game one will win the series in my opinion. I am, however picking the Tigers to advance. I think they will steal game 1 on the road and once they get back to Detroit the Yankees power will be neutralized due to the spacious park. Detroit also has a stellar pen. I just see them getting by the Yankees thanks to the ability to strike out their power hitters.
In the ALCS I am picking to Detroit to beat the Rays. Tampa has a really poor batting average this year and I can see Detroit's starting staff take full advantage of that. Detroit has all the ingredients for a deep post season run and I see them taking the AL pennant this year.
Who will Detroit face in the World Series? I shall tackle the NL postseason in my next post. Until them, Brohams!

Important
I have a very important issue I must convey to the American people. This is not a joke, there are people among us just like me. Who struggle to keep control and keep sane. Those of us with awful showers. Now, my shower is so amazing it only seems to have to levels of temperature. Scalding hot and Freezing Cold. The best part of all this is how if its hot you can turn the cold ALL THE WAY UP and the temperature stays just as hot. How this works.....I'll never know. I hate it though.
That is all.
Btw I found this...its for everyone to view and love!

Hey I didn't forget about you.....I've just been busy
Yes, its been a good long time since I've last posted here and I'm hoping this is the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship between me and you. There so many topics to discuss its almost overwhelming. A lot of people make blogs and focus on a specific thing. Thats good and all....but not ambitious enough for me. I want to blog EVERYTHING THERE IS TO TALK ABOUT. Impossible, you say? Well, of course it is but why am any lower than that? Why not attempt to cover Sports, Movies, Comics, Video Games, Humans, News?
I SHALL DO IT ALL.
That is all.
I SHALL DO IT ALL.
That is all.

My thoughts on the Stanley Cup Final.....
Going into this series between the Bruins and the Canucks I wanted to see Vancouver take the Cup. As the series has now reached 3 games played I have done an about face. I no longer want to see the Canucks win the cup and the only real reason is their dirty antics. I mean first you got Burrows biting someone during a scrum in game 1. Biting? Really? Didn't people stop biting like after 1st grade? Who does that? Thats just pathetic sportsmanship. Then you get Aaron Rome delivering a blindside hit to the head on Nathan Horton. Headshots are completely uncalled for in any sport. I believe the Canucks are the more talented of the two teams and therefore It makes NO sense for them to be playing as dirty as they are. Therefore I now want to see the Bruins take this series and stick it to Vancouver.

Redskins Pick Ryan Kerrigan
This pick, in my opinion, is a sign of the change of times in D.C. In the past with a 10th overall pick they would of chosen a QB or a flashy Wide Receiver. Honestly, they need both of those things....but this pick is not a most talented guy around, but he makes up for it in intensity and enthusiasm for the game. They even traded down from the 10th to 16th and acquired a second pick from Miami in the process. That I like. He will instantly make their defense better. How you ask? Teams can no longer double team Brian Orakpo. They have two talented pass rushers and I really hope they decide to send either Orakpo or Kerrigan after the QB on EVERY down while the other goes into coverage. Trick up the offensive line. Who are you going to try to double team now?
Bottom Line: The Skins Defense just got a whole lot better and more suited for a 3-4 even though there are concerns about Kerrigan not being "big enough" for the position. I personally doubt it'll be a problem. He won't be a bust, but he also might not be a superstar. I can live with just consistency.
Fun Side Note: He is the Big Tens All Time leader in Forced Fumbles. His Career total of 14 puts him in a 4 way tie for the most in FBS history.

My new (costly) obsession.
I am now quite obsessed with signed baseballs and other various Major League Baseball memorabilia. This stuff is quite expensive. I currently own just one signed baseball. It was signed by Justin Morneau, first baseman of the Minnesota Twins and somewhere my dad has a Ticket signed by Torii Hunter, Former Twin; Current Angel.
I've always been enamored with baseball autographs and if I was a millionaire or even a baseball player (aka still a millionaire) I'd have tons of them. Signed Jerseys, Bats, Baseballs, Hats. You name it. Right now the only thing I can afford is signed baseballs and even some of them are expensive. During me and my Dad's latest trip to Baltimore on Thursday night as we were leaving I decided to stop by the stand set up selling all the autographed things. I figured it would just be all current and former Orioles signatures. As I started to look through them I realized it was autographs from players all over Baseball history. I saw a Ted Williams ball (super expensive) along with a Hank Aaron Ball (also pretty pricey). I ended up buying a ball signed by Harmon Killebrew with the number of career homeruns he hit. I gave it to my dad and I also ordered him a signed Duke Snider ball I found from the same people. I'm giving him the Duke Snider ball for Father's day. Snider was he favorite ball player when growing up.
I'd love to get some more signatures as time goes on. Maybe some more current players. I'd like to get a Mauer ball for sure. Probably a Thome one too.
Maybe I'll win the lottery soon and be able to buy all the stupid baseball stuff I want......
